Meet the Hollingers

An uncommon attention to detail

Suzanne “Suzie” and Ron Hollinger came to Madison several years ago for the history, the charm, and the small-town feel. They loved that people here are kind, they help each other, and the church chimes still play every day.

They purchased a 1860 livery stable building and Suzie spent five years heading the project to rehabilitate the 10,000-square-foot building, finding many problems along the way (as with most old buildings!) Her hard work and attention to detail paid off when, in 2023, the Madison Historic District Board of Review awarded her the honor of “Best Rehabilitation Project”.

Suzie loves making her guests feel at home with beautiful suites, personal touches, and a sincere invitation to “Come relax and enjoy our town (also award-winning!)”

  • “Suzie is the most thoughtful and wonderful host! We traveled with our 8 mo old son and she had tons of baby items ready for us - a high chair, stroller, pack-n-play, toys, a book and a little toy horse for him to keep. She even had the sweetest little welcome signs for him! The suite was cozy and welcoming as well as spotless. Suzie had every amenity you can imagine, large and small. She also sent detailed information months beforehand with things to do and suggestions around town. It was the perfect spot for our first getaway as a family of 3! The location is also excellent - we walked to restaurants, shops, and the farmers' market within minutes. Suzie was very responsive via text/phone and has excellent communication. I would highly recommend to anyone!”
